Co-creating coherent Communties (stages of real community-building)
1. Reckognition that the "old ways" don't work
2. Discerning & acknowledging what we feel is "really going on" (showing our true feelings & emotions (confessing))
Understanding that often we mistakenly take a 'heap' for a 'whole', or even fall for "counterfit wholistics" were larger systems are only understood conceptually / intellectually (there is no 'feeling connection' no 'soul'
understanding/accepting the absolute human need for felt-alignment, for bonding in groups, etc.
moving from "text" into the "context"
3. Letting go & even sacrificing our interpretation, theory, opinion of what should happen.
Allowing for "I don't know"-helplessnes.
going through "chaos" and emptiness to the "real"
suspending judgement to allow for the whole to appear from the stillness / emptiness that results from suspending judgement
seeing that everything that's not essential must be let go
"putting the self on the table"
letting go is like invoking the virtuality of the self
"fragile floatation"
A life of wisdom is to be constantly engaged in the vertical spiral - letting go and letting the virtuality and fragility of the self manifest itself. Meeting people who do this we are affected, because the process is not individual, not private; there is resoance. There is joy in this kind of life.
The more the fragigile self-subject deploys itself - the more there is to accomodate or take care of the other, there is an intrinsic decenredness, solidarity, compassion, care, love appear when the self owned is decentered. Since we are not solid and private and centred the more we get close to all our reality., the more we are who we are. Both you and me. The "us-ness" is in us. (Franscesco Varela - www.dialogueonleadership.org)
accessing your ignorance
Ignorance, respect and humility go a long way.
realizing, there is nowhere to go and nothing to prove
willingness to really fail in one's views and achievements
4. Silence - Turning point
Listening from 'center'
let go of the "small will" and surrender to the Grand Will (Buber)
Before this phase all talk about 'free will' is just... talk. The source of real intention is in our (collective) depth
accessing "emotional intelligence"
listening / perceiving from the field
1 Listen to yourself, beyond the past (influences, experiences, etc., beyond impulses, beyond preferences
2 Listen to the other
3 Listen to the 'music' (the unfolding order; what's next)
4 Listen to your 'true nature', What are you here to serve?, What are you to bring forth in your life?
5. Discovery - "What do we want? What do we want to embody and realise?"
The Community as authentic whole
life at work: transforming from passive observer to active participant
When we've come to a true "we", we can listen to each others stories without questioning or justifying & with a truly open heart, as if by miracle in this open heartedness truly connecting, restorative, healing stories emerge
seeing, understanding, feeling collectively
Celebrating Us
6. Community has become real and coherent; we've entered the "Living Field Zone"
letting come, "What are our next steps?"
supporting excellence & talents of everybody
following /allowing for these excellences to sprout & keeping the process fresh and alive
7. Participatory design, planning and implementation steps
Prototyping
Feedback of all stakeholders and involved persons
Make context concrete
