As a lone dissenting juror tries to convince the others that the case is not as open-and-shut as it appears, individual prejudices and preconceptions about the trial emerge. The movie has tremendous lessons and value in social psychology. It addresses prejudice, conformity, aggression, group interaction, leadership, persuasion, and other basic areas of social psychology and the study of normal human behavior.

3. Kohlberg's the theory of moral development and it can be applied to the developmental psychology specifically moral development

3.1. Pre-conventional Thinking: Infants and Preschool children make moral decisions based on the fear of being punished and the need to fulfill their own desires

3.2. Conventional Thinking: Trust, caring, and loyalty to others become more and more central, influencing moral judgement. Rules are followed out of respect for others and obedience to authority. Moral Judgement is based on an understanding of social order

3.3. Post-Conventional Thinking: Moral choices are based on principles of Justice and Concern for the common good and obligations become less important. One develops a moral standard based on moral principles or universal human rights.
