Othello Plot

1. Act 3

1.1. Iago persuades Othello that Desdemona is in love with Cassio and has committed adultery

1.1.1. gets 'proof' of this through the handkerchief

1.2. Othello becomes convinced and is now over whelmed with jealousy- the green eyed monster

1.3. He vows to seek revenge on Desdemona and Cassio by killing them- Iago insists on helping him

1.4. Desdemona is unaware of the danger she is currently in- Cassio gives the handkerchief to Bianca

2. Act 4

2.1. Iago continues to torment Othello, by insinuating Cassio and Desdemona's fornicating

2.2. Othello is over whelmed and has a fit

2.3. Iago talks to Cassio about Bianca but convinces Othello that it was Desdemona- adding to his plan

2.4. Bianca accuses Cassio of giving her second hand gift, further showing evidence for Desdemona

2.5. Desdemona is abused physically and verbally

3. Act 5

3.1. Othello asks Iago to kill Cassio but ends up killing Roderigo

3.2. Gripped by jealousy, Othello smothers Desdemona in bed

3.3. Iago's plots are revealed by Emilia who is then killed by her husband for speaking the truth

3.4. Othello kills him self full of remorse on his bed next to Desdemona

4. Act 1

4.1. The Moor, a respectful general has married Desdemona

4.2. Roderigo complains to Iago for not telling him, especially because he hoped to marry her himself

4.3. Brabantio then goes to look for Othello in which he accuses him of bewitching Desdemona

4.4. This accusation is then revealed to be false as both Othello and Desdemona explain their love fr one another

4.5. Iago's real villanary is also exposed as his plan set sail

5. Act 2

5.1. The action moves to cyprus

5.2. Iago manages to persuade Roderigo that he can get Desdemona to fall in love with him

5.3. Iago then convinces Roderigo that Cassio is a threat and rival for Desdemona -making them fight

5.4. Othello blames Cassio for the fight and dismisses him from his post

5.5. Iago tells Cassio the only way to win back Othello's trust is ti ask for Desdemona's help which adds to Iago's plan to convince Othello that Desdemona has committed adultery with Cassio
