1.1. Definition: This type of testing assist in the determination of students individual weaknesses, strengths, and knowledge prior to given instruction. These assessments will help to lead and guide the teachers lessons and planning.

2.1. Opening Questions

2.2. Guiding Questions

2.2.2. What would result if...?

2.3. Closing Questions

2.3.1. How would you summarize ...?

2.3.2. Why was it better that...?

2.3.3. What would have happened if ...?

3. Defintion: These types of test evaluate students to understand where they are in the learning process. This determines if students are on the right track and could potentially determine how students perform on future assignments.

3.1. Examples: Unit/ Practice STAAR test or Benchmark Test

4. 1. Formative

4.1. Definition: This type of testing is probably the most used through out teaching. This allows teachers to adjust, monitor, and direct student learning throughout/during a lesson.

4.1.1. Examples: Think-Pair-Share or 3-2-1 Summaries

5. 2. Interim-Benchmark

6. 3. Summative

6.1. Definition: These test evaluate and measure student success at the END of the learned unit.

6.1.1. Examples: 6 Weeks Tests or Semester Tests

7.1. Definition: These types of exams are an authentic type of assessment that require/ask students to perform a specific task.
