6.1. The setting takes place on Farmer Brown's land where his animals are fighting for better living conditions.

7.1. Protagonist against Another is the conflict taking place in this book. The protagonist (the animals) are pitted against the antagonist (Farmer Brown). They each want different things and the cows have gone on strike to attempt to get what they want from him. Without the cows milk he can't run the farm so in exchange for going off strike they wish to receive heated blankets to keep them warm at night.

8.1. The theme of this story is you have to compromise with others to get what you need. Things aren't just handed to you and you have to work and come to a solution to get what's needed.
