1. English Speaking Students
2. English Language Learners are students who speak a first language other than English or who speak a version of English that is significantly varied from the English that is taught in Ontario Schools
2.1. English As A Second Language Programs provide support for students who have had opportunities to develop age appropriate first language literacy skills in a language other than English or a variety of English that is different from the English taught in schools.
2.2. English Language Development Programs provide support for students who are generally from other countries that have had limited access to education in their first language. Therefore, these students tend to have significant gaps in their education.
