1.1. Summative assessments are given at the end of the unit.

2.1. This type of assessment measures the students ability to apply the content knowledge they have learned from a unit. A Performance Assessment challenges students by having them use their higher order thinking skills to create/perform a product.

3.1. A Diagnostic Assessment is also known as a pre assessment which allows teachers to assess where students are on content knowledge prior to instruction and to identify where students are having difficulty in.

4. Interim
4.1. Is a type of assessment that is administered at different times of the school year to check for students progress on content and serves as a guide for teachers to adjust instruction. It's how data is collected to measure students academic progress.

5. Formative
5.1. Are assessments that are given while students are working on a concept or unit and give teachers information about what students understand or still need to learn.

6.3. Opening Questions:
6.3.1. Q1: How would you describe the setting in the story?
