1. Interim/Benchmark
1.1. Defintion: Used to evaluate learning progress and determine if students are on track. Usually involve comparing performance against a set standard.
1.1.1. Examples: Benchmark test that are given to students each grading period & universal screening done by the district.
2. Summative
2.1. Defintion: Used to measure student learning, skills, and academic achievement.
2.1.1. Examples:Unit Project & Final Exam
3. Performance
3.1. Definition: The application of knowledge, skills, and work habits through the performance of tasks.
3.2. Examples: Standardized tests & writing a composition that will be graded with a specific rubric.
4. Diagnostic
4.1. Definition: Inform teacher of student achievement gaps and other academic abilities.
4.1.1. Examples: Pre-Test & Survey
5. Formative
5.1. Definition: The process of gathering evidence of student learning, providing feedback and adjusting instruction strategies.
5.2. Examples: Anticipation Guide & Quiz
