1. Formula for asking a question: did + [subject] + [root form of verb].
1.1. Examples: •Did Wolfgang win the gold medal or the silver medal? •Did they live in France?
2. Shows that you are talking about something that has already happened.
3. How to Make the Simple Past Negative
3.1. Formula: did not + [root form of verb]. You can also use the contraction didn´t
3.1.1. Examples: •Wolfgang’s girlfriend didn’t see the contest. •He didn't come to my party.
4. Verb tense that is used to talk about things that happened or existed before now.
5. How to Make the Simple Past Affirmative
5.1. Main rule is that for every verb in English, there is only one form of it in the past tense.
5.1.1. For example: The past tense of the verb want is wanted.
