Heterosexism

1. Division of community when talking about sexual orientation, especially in the areas of curriculum, student clubs, and speech and dress codes

2. This have been created through negative impacts through:

2.1. physchological research

2.2. religion

2.3. financial privledge

2.4. sociology results

3. Administrators need to change things based on three levels: policy, educatoin, and resources and support

4. Differences run deep and these types of topics and exposes the nations divide

5. To help alleviate these issues, there is a need to create common ground:

5.1. establish a common ground task force

5.2. agree on civic ground rules

5.3. include all stakeholders

5.4. listen to all sides

5.5. work for agreements that provide civic principles for a safe school

6. There is need as though people feel the need to conform to a heterosexual social herniary

7. The schoolhouse has served as a microsome of the public square for debate over such issues and defines who we are as people
