1. PROBLEMS

1.1. There are some teachers who do not follow the guidelines and the instructions given to them.

1.2. Some teachers who are send to USA by the TEACHERS TRAINING PROGRAM are not qualified and the percentage of the ones who approved is about 0,17%.

2. EXPERIENCES

2.1. Improves teacher methodology by implementing new strategies, In this case by the supporting material the program has provided to the teachers (activity books, academic language building, guides, listening, reading and speaking activities).

3. SUGGESTIONS

3.1. Panama Bilingüe should have more coordinators in each province because the General Coordinators are not enough for the amount needed.

3.2. It is necessary to apply General English Tests for the teachers who are send to USA

3.3. Improve the way they select teachers to work with this program.

4. DESCRIPTION

4.1. This is a program that has been developed by National Government to improve the way students from public school learn English in Panama.

5. P.B IN HERRERA

5.1. The KIDS TEN program has been very well developed in Herrera .The coordinators of every school are constantly receiving training, meetings with the General Coordinator every week to see the improvement, problems, solutions and increasing the TEAMWORK that has been a plus.

6. STRUCTURE

6.1. It basically consists of three main components. The first one is the "KIDS TEN". The second one is "AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM". The third one is "TEACHERS TRAINING".

6.1.1. KIDS TEN: Is a program in which the students of Elementary School received ten hours of English classes per week.

6.1.2. AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM: Is a program in which the students of high school received 300 hours of English classes during the year.

6.1.3. TEACHERS TRAINING: Is a program in which teachers who belong to MEDUCA (permanent teachers) are send to USA to recieve English classes and learn new techniques to improve English classes.
