Getting internships at studios is also a great way to network with others in the industry

2.2.1. Adapt in game engines and being adaptable for the industry is a key thing to stay relevant.

2.2.3.1. Create your own indie game that shows off your skills to whatever company your pitching yourself to. The best way to do this is create an indie game that has a connection with what role you are looking for in a company. For example when you are creating demos consider where you want to work. A demo reel of first person shooter games won't be what a platforming game studio would be looking for.
