VIETMANIZATION -the u.s supported the south and they were criticized for getting into war and they tried to get the south Vietnamese to handle themselves against the north and that is what lead to them to get taken over by the north. the military didn't learn much form that because they did the same thing in later war

8.5.1. the Americans had a camp that they were taken to relax and to get a break for the war and mostly for motivation to keep fighting the war. government learned that the soldiers needed some motivation to keep fighting
