4.2.1. Young african americans migrated to the north to escape from racial oppression and find a safer life to start a family. others could not because they had families as for the others had nothing to lose.

8.1.1. When the U.S is involved in world affairs to a large extent it is hard to be neutral if a major conflict breaks out.

8.2.1. Stalingrad , Hitler saw Stalingrad as a great opportunity to get into russia.

8.3.1. When too many countries dominate it creates mass conflict.

8.4.1. The united states sees communism as a threat and is spread throughout Russia and china

8.5. Vietnam

8.5.1. many factors have contributed to the Vietnam war which ultimately caused the first big war the United States has lost.

8.5.1.1. The first flaw to the Vietnam was that the soldiers who were fighting in Vietnam were not motivated and did not understand the purpose of fighting. to accommodate for the lack of motivation the U.S bases became more of a place for soldiers to party and use drugs/alcohol. After the war many of the veterans were homeless and also addicted to drugs and became alcoholics The U.S learned that it is harder to win against an enemy when you have an unmotivated army that feels like the war that they are fighting is not worth fighting for. 8.5.1.1.1. Another factor to the united states failing was how the U.S soldier combated the Vietcong. The issue is that in Vietnam you could not tell who the enemy is because the enemy were farmers that farmed during the day and used the element of surprise to effectively attack the U.S soldiers. We learned that we if an enemy can easily hide in plain sight from the U.S then that will give then an advantage. FOREIGN RELATIONS

9.3.1. Joseph Mccarthy made the public beleive that there are communist working for the united states government

11.1.1. leaders focus too much on militarism it destabilizes world piece.

11.2.1. when more powerful leaders work together it causes them to have a greater chance of winning which forces other countries to join the war. causes mass destruction for everyone.

11.3.1. radical leaders are more likely to be discovered and supported due to the problems and precautions that are being taken to protect their country

11.4.1. After JFKs assassination LBJ rose to power and followed through with JFKs programs and created the Great Soicety.
