Year 3 subject: Managing Your Career and Transition to the Workplace

This subject will encourage students to reflect on development of transferable skills from academic studies, paid and unpaid work, and co-curricular activities. Career development theories will be discussed in relation to career planning and transition from university to professional employment. Methods used to identify labour market information will be explained and applied by the student in forming a detailed career and transition plan.

· Essay on managing careers and transition to the workplace: Students will need to demonstrate an understanding of career development theory and how it applies to their own career plans (3000 words)

· Complete a career management competency self-assessment and write a reflection on areas to develop in the short to medium term (500 words)
