2.1. Why is this important?

2.1.1. Our current need for constant economic growth based on generating profit now has lead to exploitation of the environment and many of the world's people.

2.2. Why does this matter to me?

2.2.1. Growing up in Baltimore City I was constantly confronted with just how large the inequality gap is today. While I have always have had access to quality educational, clean adequate shelter, healthy food, and health care yet traveling less than a mile their entire neighborhoods in destitute poverty. I have always been both horrified and interested in the inequalities in the world. It was also in combination spending summers in a co-operative communit, and going to a quaker high school that emphasized the importance of serving others before yourself.

2.3. Why do you want to study it?

2.3.1. Any system that allows for these conditions to exist must be changed to serve all entities participating within it.

3. Where

3.1. Where is it needed most?

3.1.1. In communities where populations are being underserved or exploited by current economic and business practices. However, I think its application is necessary on a wide scale, if everyone changed their behavior a better quality of life would be possible.

3.2. Where is its application most important to you?

3.2.1. First working on a small scale to develop localized models, and then being able to launch ideas and strategizes potentially globally.

4. When

4.1. When did you decide you wanted to study this?

4.1.1. I took three years off before going to school during that time I helped my dad open a small business. I really enjoyed the constant problem solving, and seeing my ideas come to fruition. Then I framed that with my passion for solving inequalities and it became clear that social enterprise would be a good area to explore.

5. How

5.1. How will you go about getting a degree in this?

5.1.1. by studying the central components need to be an effective leader in this feild

5.1.1.1. Fundraising- Grants, fellowships

5.1.1.2. Community Needs Assesment- GS!, Anthropological approaches

5.1.1.3. Efficient Organization- personally, interpersonally, mobilizing people

5.1.1.4. Community Events- getting hands on experience on mobilizing and involving community

5.1.1.5. Theoretical underpinnings- exploring the fundamental ideas behind sustainable business & economy

5.1.1.6. Effective communication- Media, Marketing, web design

5.1.1.7. Working hands on with groups- Non-profits, corporations, lobbyists, social enterprises

5.2. How will you apply your learning once you’ve graduated?

5.2.1. By staying involved in projects that I have formed relationships throughout my ADP

5.2.2. Employment- Hopefully getting a job with an organization or starting my own venture that supports my learning through ADP
