Chapter 5 & 6 Character Development

1. In chapter 5 you see that Gatsby comes up to Nick to try to persuade Nick to agree to the meeting with Daisy so you start to see the Gatsby is desperate to see her.

2. Also in Chapter 5 you see that Gatsby is nervous around Daisy and doesn't exactly want to be alone with her until Nick forces him.

3. Another thing you see in these chapters are the hope that Gatsby has for him and Daisy's relationship. You learn more about the green light that shines from Daisy's house.

4. In chapter 6 you learn that Gatsby is in fact lying about who he really was. We learn that he actually wasn't always rich and that he once lived on a farm with his parents.

5. In chapter 6 you see that Tom begins to get suspicious of Gatsby and Daisy's relationship.
