5.1. Digoxin is well absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. Oral bioavailability Digoxin is usually high (70% -80%). Digoxin contains a large amount of distribution, due to its high convergence in the structural muscles, heart, intestines and kidneys. A small portion of digoxin is metabolized by the liver and undergoes approximately 8% intestinal gastrointestinal circulation. Half-life Elimination of long digoxin.
