1.2. Not to blow all the money on one thing and to evenly distribute it
1.2.1. For instance making sure our budget stretches,to allow us to pay for artwork, recording sessions (If need be depending on location), the fees for Ditto the online/digital distribution company and leaving enough money to allow us to pay for promotion if need be.
2. Recording
2.1. Making sure we get the right sound etc
2.1.1. Making sure we're all happy with the sound on the songs, having the right amps and right setup with mics etc so we can get the best possible sound for the money we have available.
3. Playing/Songwriting
3.1. Making sure we are happy with the songs we write and the direction we're going in as a band, the sound and the feel and to arrange them correctly so we don't have half completed songs.
4. Time Management
4.1. Making sure we run on time, in the studio and songwriting.
4.1.1. Making sure we run on time is crucial for all of this to work, as its all been arranged week by week. If we run overtime the quality may slip and that's the last thing we want as a band, so we need to make sure we stay on top with time management.
5. Promotion
5.1. Using social media to promote our releases
5.1.1. Using instagram and facebook to announce our release, most of our fanbase/following is on those social media platforms so it would make sense to announce/promote on those platforms.
5.2. Using spotify/soundcloud
5.2.1. Looking into spotify promotions, playlist curators and other forms of promotions/promoters on those platforms.
6. Distribution
6.1. Making contact and using a distributor for our single releases
6.1.1. Making our release a digital release as this is the cheapest form of distribution for us as cds/records/cassettes are out of price range for now with distribution.
