1. Australian Curriculum

1.1. The Australian Curriculum includes seven general capabilities which include; English, mathematics, science, humanities and social sciences, the arts, technologies, HPE and languages.

1.2. These general capabilities create successful learners who are confident and creative individuals.

8. Negative impacts of technology

8.1. It can be expensive

8.2. There may be internet problems or device issues throughout the school

8.3. Students may get distracted and they won't use the technology as an education device but as something to play games and muck around on.

8.4. It takes teachers time to explain their technology and also for the teacher to learn how to use it so they know what they are modelling for the students to do.

8.5. Some teachers might be fearful on how to use technology as they have learnt how to teach with many decades without technology and they are set in their ways.

8.5.1. Change is difficult but we must believe that we can make an impact on the students lives by incorporating technology into their teaching practises.

9. General areas of assistive technology

9.1.1. Teacher are able to access technologies that will enable students to engage with the curriculum.

9.2. Supportive

9.2.1. Teachers will be able to use supportive technologies to improve efficiency within learning episodes.

9.3. Curriculum

9.3.1. Teachers will use the curriculum applications to enhance the students learning in a specific curriculum focus.

10. Peer Learning

10.1. This is where students learn from one another. They teach one another in both formal and informal settings and they benefit each other from problem solving and explaining each other concepts and information they have learnt together.

20. Technology for Inclusive education

20.1. Teachers can still implement technology for students who may be visually impaired or have some type of disability that may be preventing them from using the technology teachers have already implemented into the classroom.

20.2. Students may be challenged to engage with content by the format in which it is delivered.

20.2.1. This may take these students longer to interact with the curriculum, make more errors and they will also need to concentrate harder than the other students in the classroom.

20.2.1.1. This can lead to frustration and disengagement with learning.

20.3. We mustn't assume how students must engage and be assessed but we should make adjustment in assessments for students to be able to respond to their content.

20.3.1. There are special provisions for students where we can modify criteria and assessment for those particular students.

20.3.1.1. However we should be able to access arrangements and reasonable adjustments of technology for these students so they are able to communicate and participate.

20.4. By denying students their chance to interact with ICT this can create a huge barrier for studnets.
