1. Analysis

1.1. An opportunity to determine both what you are trying to accomplish through the training and the background of the learners you will be training

1.1.1. Clarify instructional problem

1.1.2. Establish goals and objectives

1.1.3. Identify existing skills and knowledge

2. Design

2.1. At this stage, you should have an outline/prototype of the course as well as a collection of media to be included in the course

2.1.1. Gather media to be used in the course

2.1.2. Devise layout of the course and individual lessons

2.1.3. Decide on and outline assessments

3. Develop

3.1. Creation of course through development of content and compilation of additional material

3.1.1. Create/assemble content

3.1.2. Review and revise current content

3.1.3. Place graphical elements into the layout of the course

4. Implementation

4.1. Deliver the course to learners! This can also be done in multiple steps as an alpha/beta prerelease prior to implementing at scale

4.1.1. Pilot test the material as needed (optional)

4.1.2. Monitor learner progress

4.1.3. Gather information about learner engagement with the content

5. Evaluation

5.1. Use feedback from learners to make changes to the course to improve learning outcomes. This is also when any corrections or changes that were too large to be made during the course can be implemented

5.1.1. Gather feedback about the course

5.1.2. Make any changes needed in response to feedback

5.1.3. Correct any content or technical errors observed by the designer or staff
