1. What are the laws regarding custody for same-sex couples in CT?
1.1. CT has adopted the Uniform Child Custody Act, which recognizes the option of joint custody by married parents. Since Dylan and Tracy are married legally in CT, as long as the divorce happens in CT, they would both be legally entitled to joint custody.
2. Who controls the fate of leftover embryos?
2.1. As the embryos haven't yet been transplanted into Dylan, they would remain the genetic property of Tracy.
3. What is the accuracy of PGT for testing for aneuploidy and monogenic disorders? (i.e. what can these tests check for, sensitivity/specificity, etc)
3.1. 1) PGT testing can be used to test for aneuplodies (PGT-A), monogenic/single-gen disorders (PGT-M), of chromosome rearrangements (PGT-SR). 2)The scientific field seems split in terms of the efficacy of PGT in testing for aneuploidy and monogenic disorders, with some groups arguing that there have been sufficient studies done on PGT, despite the lack of studies done with a randomized clinical trial, while other groups suggest that the randomized trial must be performed first (Reviewed here:Griffin, D., & Ogur, C.
