2. Type 0 - ZERO CONDITIONAL

2.1. Used for scientific facts or general truths

3. Type I - FIRST CONDITIONAL

3.2.3. b) IMPERATIVE + OR/AND + SIMPLE FUTURE Used for threats and promises

3.2.4. Don't say a word about this, or I will kill you.

3.2.5. c) IMPERATIVE + IF / IN CASE +SIMPLE PRESENT

3.2.6. If you don't put on repellent, you'll get bitten.

4. Type II - SECOND CONDITIONAL

4.1. Used to talk about things which are unreal (not true or not possible) in the present or the future. It is generally used for things which don't or won't happen. It is generally used for things which may happen

4.2. IF + SIMPLE PAST + SIMPLE CONDITIONAL If FIRST verb in the sentence is TO BE, WERE is used for all persons.

4.3. If I were rich, I would buy a castle.

4.4. If I became President, I would change many things.

4.5. If I saw Madonna, I would scream.

4.6. If I had more time, I would take up a sport.

4.7. If you spoke up, I'd hear you.

5. Type III - THIRD CONDITIONAL

5.1. Used to talk about unreal situations in the past, that is, things which did not happen in the past.

5.2. IF + PAST PERFECT + CONDITIONAL PERFECT

5.3. If I had known that you were sick, I would have gone to see you.

5.4. If I had had famous parents, I would have had an amazing life.

5.5. If you had helped me, I wouldn't have failed the exam.

5.6. If I'd worked harder, I'd have got a promotion.

5.7. If I 'd been careful, I wouldn't have cut myself.

6. Type IV - MIXED CONDITIONAL

6.1. The conditionals mixed are a combination of two different conditional, usually between the second and the third conditional.

6.2. TWO TYPES

6.2.1. 2nd conditional: If + subject + past perfect , subject + would + verb in infinitive

6.2.2. 3rd conditional: If + subject + past simple , subject + would + have + participle verb

6.2.3. If I had taken the underground, I wouldn't be in a traffic jam.

6.2.4. If you have n't gone to bed so late, you wouldn't feel sleepy now.
