1.1. The word or symbol on traffic signs tell the driver what can or cannot be done at a specific location or time, and provide information. The shape and colours will vary depending on the type of message.

2. Traffic Control signals

2.1. Traffic control signals are lights that use the colours green, yellow and red to control the flow of the traffic at intersections or where roadways merge. The control signal may be horizontal or vertical.

2.1.1. Solid red light

2.1.1.1. Drivers Must bring their vehicle to a complete stop before the stop line or crosswalk that is directly in front of the vehicle. Vehicles must stay stopped at the red light until it turns green, unless safety turning right after stopping.

2.1.1.2. Right turn at red light, unless sign prohibit the turn, a driver may turn right at a red light after stopping completely before the stop line or crosswalk if the turn can be made after yielding to other traffic

2.1.1.3. Left turn at red light, Unless a sign prohibits the turn, the only left turn permitted at a red light is a onto one-way street.

2.1.2. Solid yellow light

2.1.2.1. When a green light changes to yellow, It warns that the light will change to red immediately and drivers must prepare to stop or clear the intersection with a solid (not flashing) yellow traffic control light must bring their vehicle to a complete stop before the stop line pr crosswalk, unless a point has been reached at the intersection where stopping cannot be done safely.

3. Lane reversal signals

3.1. Lane reversal signals are used to control the direction of traffic on specific lanes of a roadway. common use of this control is reversible lanes that change the flow of traffic during different times of the day. The signals over one or more lanes change between a red X and a green arrow

3.1.1. Solid red X

3.1.1.1. Drivers facing a solid green light are permitted to travel through the intersection without stopping, unless required to yield to oncoming traffic when turning left or to pedestrians in the crosswalk when turning right or left.

3.1.1.2. When a red X is displayed over a driving lane, the driver does not enter or remain in that lane. The signal indicates that the lane is being used by oncoming traffic. Move safely into a lane with a green arrow.

3.1.2.1. A driver facing the downward pointing green arrow is permitted too travel in that lane
