1. The Bill of rights
1.1. The United States Bill of Rights plays a central role in American law and government, and remains a fundamental symbol of the freedoms and culture of the nation.
1.2. The first 10 amendments to the constitution make up the bill of rights.
2. The great compromise
2.1. The great compromise created a bicameral legislature with a Senate, in which all states would be equally represented.
3. 3/5 compromise
4. The Articles of Confederation
4.1. The articles originally failed,because it presented a fear of a strong central government.
4.2. Originally gave states the power.
5. Federalism
5.1. The anti-federalist were a group of Americans who objected to the creation of a stronger U.S federal government and opposed final ratification of the U.S.
5.2. Many anti-federalist preferred a weak central government because they equated a strong government with British tyranny.
