4.2. Child Youth and Family Support Fund

4.2.1. Provide financial support to improve the immediate well-being of a current client or family at WAYS such as paying utility bills, groceries, gas cards, clothing, etc.

5.1. Stable and safe trauma informed environment for youth. Provide mental health support and life skills as well as Transitional Residential or semi-independent living programs.

5.2. Residential Respite: Respite Programs to support youth in family homes.

6.1. WAYS provides unwavering support for high-needs children, youth and families through personalized mental health services.

7.1. Community

7.1.1. Individualized supports to children and youth with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties or complex challenges in London and Chatham-Kent.

7.1.1.1. Youth Groups: Specialized groups aimed at using art, music, and peer groups to uncover and discuss emotions,challenges and everyday problems.

7.1.2. Variety of services tailored to each youth’s individual needs. Supports for youth 12 to 18 years of age may include:

7.1.2.1. - Counselling and mental health support - Short term crisis support and harm reduction counseling - Promotion of healthy coping skills - Help obtaining food, shelter and clothing - Advocacy and referrals to community services, as needed - Access to the WD Sutton Alternative School Program Residential - A variety of groups for youth - Supper Club for current and past WAYS clients

7.1.3. Crisis Intake Team - crisis support to children and youth ages 0 to 18 and their families.

7.2. Enhanced Foster Care

7.2.1. WAYS supports over 30 foster homes throughout Southwestern Ontario for youth who have experienced trauma.

8. Not-for-profit, community-based, accredited agency that supports children, youth and families in London-Middlesex and Chatham-Kent who face challenges such as trauma, emotional or behavioural problems, and mental health issues.
