For those of you working on Synthesizing GMOs here's part of a thread to consider--Rather than just basing the above discussion on what this first chapter says about GMOs, take a look at the index of your textbook and peruse some of the other sections that discuss genetically modified organisms (e.g., p. 87)--there is a pretty good list of page numbers. Once you've taken a look at some of the other angles that the book discusses GMOs from I would be really interested to see how the book really does portray GMOs do they demonize them or do they present more than one perspective. Remember, one of the essential outcomes for this course is learning about diverse perspectives (this is especially true for next week), but it would be interesting to see what you all come up with.
