2.1. the French scientist louis Pasteur began questioning spontanious generation

2.1.1. a brewery company asked Pasteur why there alcohol was going off so quickly. he found microorganisms growing rapidly

2.1.1.1. he was able to demonstrate this by capturing air in a swan neck glass to show how decay would set into a liquid.
