arrythmia
by RESHMA ROGI
1. AV block: 1st degree: on ecg there is defined by an pr interval greater than200 msec 2 nd degree: the impairment results in failure to conduct an impulse which causes a skipped beat 3 rd degree: occurs when signal between atrua and ventricles is completely blicked. on ecg there is no relationship between p wave and qrs complexes.
2. supraventricular tachyarrythmia
2.1. re entry tachycardia: episodes often short and end suddenly and occur becuase of re enterant circuit.
2.1.1. walf parkinson white syndrome: specific type of problem with the electrical system of heart . has short PR interval ,wide qrs complex.
2.1.1.1. atrial flutter: starts in the atrial chambers of the heart varying A-V conduction.
2.1.1.1.1. atrial fibrillation: rapid and irregular breathing of the atrial chambers of heart. no p wave and HR about 150 bom.
2.2. ventricular
2.2.1. VT:symptoms: light headbess, palpitations,chestpain,cardiac arrest.
2.2.1.1. VF: cardiac arrest with loss of consciousness and no pulse.
2.2.1.1.1. torsades de pintes: prolonged qt interval . palpitations , dizziness , fainting , sudden cardiac death.
3. tachyarruthmia
3.1. sinus tachycardia
3.1.1. it is an elevated sinus rhythm characterised by an increase in the rate of electrical impulse arising from SA node.
