1. Aptitude is the natural capability of an individual to perform a certain task successfully without previous knowledge or formation, used to measure the suitability of a candidate for a specific programme of instruction or a particular kind of employment.

5.1. Criterion based tests measure the performance of test takers relative to particular criteria covered in the curriculum. In other words, CRT test scores can be used to determine if the test taker has met program objectives. Criterion referenced tests measure performance on specific concepts and are often used in a pre-test These tests can also be used to determine if curriculum goals have been met.
