1.3.1. Agriculture, Immigration Services and Refugees

1.3.1.1. This ministry has a department responsible to deliver immigration and nationality services and is the main ministry responsible for any migration policies developed.

1.4. Finance and Natural resources

1.4.1. It is the ministry responsible for the speaking on the state's resources and capabilities financially, and assessing the impact it would have on the economy and state expenditure.

1.5. Education

1.6.1. Migration policies go hand in hand with matters of National security and the military is in charge of defending the Belize borders, Belize territorial waters and belizean air space.

1.6.2. it would touch on the states capability to provide education, availability of schools, student teacher ratio, and class space.

1.7. Labour

1.7.1. This ministry is responsible for issuing of work permits and has knowledge of the labour dimensions in the nation.

1.8. Human development, Social Transformation and Poverty alleviation

1.8.1. This ministry is in charge of providing services to those who fall under the responsibility of the state and lack the resources to access basic needs.

2. Belize is yet to develop a migration policy, but is in the process, therefore, all ministries are involved at the moment in coming up with the first National Migration and Development policy.
