Poverty

1. I observed that there is an inequality between the poor and the government.

2. Extra-judicial killings

2.1. As we can see in the film, the bang-sak portrayed the truth about extra-judicial killings in the Philippines.

2.2. War on drugs has been a widespread issue because thousands of people have gone missing and have been killed.

2.3. I proposed that the government should prevent killings and unlawful acts for it affects the Filipino Citizens.

2.4. There should be a resolution and thorough investigation with regards to this matter and everyone should cooperate.

3. Limited access to housing

3.1. There is a scene in the film, where the houses are being demolished.

3.2. It is evident that poverty affects their housing. This is due to low incomes that prevents them to access many potential housing options.

3.3. I suggest that there would be a project for the house relocation of those people who are affected.

3.4. The project includes job opportunities for the poor to sustain their families.

3.5. This project would help the poor to create a better environment and help them to enhance their way of living.

4. Inequality

4.1. The one who holds power limits the poor to defend themselves.

4.2. A project that would help them is implementing institutional arrangements.

4.3. There should be a pro-poor solution that will help them to voice out their out their problems.

4.4. This includes the increasing of minimum wage and building assets in working families.

5. Lack of security

5.1. Since the area in the film is squatter area, there is not enough security in the place.

5.2. I encourage the government to help the poor to secure their safety.

5.3. Giving them a proper policy and planned resettlements would benefit them.

5.4. Conduct a project that will Inform and educate them to protect their families.
