4. Ingestion mouth-we take nutrients / food through our mouth / swallowing
4.1. The different teeth in our mouth:
4.1.1. Incisors: they cut down food in small pieces
4.1.1.1. Molars - they crush and grind
4.1.1.1.1. Canines and bicuspid - they pierce and tear
4.2. Digestive - stomach , mostly proteins
4.2.1. Pepsin - begins the digestion of protein
4.2.2. Hydrochrolic acid - it lowers the pH of the stomach

4.2.4. The liver and pancreas make important substances that help with digestion
4.2.5. Capillaries - absorbs carbs and proteins
4.2.6. Lacteals - absorbs fats
4.2.7. Egestion - large intestine
4.3. Digestion - pharynx , when food mixed in our saliva, it’s called “bolus
4.3.1. Digestion - esophagus, they have smooth muscles that push down food into stomach
4.3.1.1. peristalsis: the movement of food throughout your digestive track
