1. Frontal Lobe: Executive functions: decision making, planning, primary motor cortex controls movement

1.1. Separated from parietal lobe by the central sulcus

1.2. Separated from the temporal lobe by the lateral sulcus

1.3. Associated with personality, mood, social conduct & language

1.4. Medial portion= lower limb (anterior cerebral artery)

1.5. Lateral portion= upper limb (medial cerebral artery)

2. Temporal Lobe: site of auditory cortex, receives special sensory information from ears

2.1. Associated with memory & language

3. Parietal Lobe: processes sensory information, maintains awareness of environment

3.1. Separated from frontal lobe by central sulcus

3.2. Separated from occipital love by the parieto-occipital sulcus

4. Occipital Lobe: visual cortex
