1. The United Nations Organization

1.1. From February 4 to 11, 1945, a conference was held in the city of Yalta, Ukraine, in which the United States, the Soviet Union, and the United Kingdom laid the foundations for organizing peace in the world. That same year, from April 25 to June 26, the San Francisco Conference was held, which concluded with the signing of the document establishing the United Nations Organization. The new international organization replaced the League of Nations and brought together in a general assembly all the countries of the world that agreed in collaboration to maintain peace

2.1. In 1945, with Europe ruined and Japan defeated, world hegemony was divided between the two great superveniences: the United States and the Soviet Union

6.2. Second Stage (1941-1943)

6.2.1. Adolf Hitler ordered, in 1941, to invade the Soviet Union. The Germans occupied large tracts of land, but were unable to enter Moscow. In 1943 the army defeated the Germans in Stalingrad (today Volvograd). This battle was decisive for the outcome of the war

6.3. Third Stage (1944-1945)

6.3.1. In Europe, the allied countries landed first in Italy and then in Normandy, in northern France, and began the assault on Germany. In the east, the Russians advanced, conquering country after country until they reached Berlin. Germany surrendered in May 1945

7. Organization of Peace

7.1. In 1945 the United States, the United Kingdom and the Soviet Union met in the German city of Posdam to elaborate the peace agreements, which they contemplated. The following agreement was reached at that conference

7.1.1. The withdrawal of American and Soviet troops from Chinese territory

7.1.2. The division of German territory into four zones of occupation. The German capital Berlin, nestled in the Soviet occupation zone, was also divided into four zones
