1. Superlatives

1.1. Short adjectives

1.1.1. Form : the + adj-est

1.1.2. Double the final consonant if it comes right after a vowel. Eg: shortest

1.1.3. For adj ending in –e, just add –st. Eg: cutest

1.1.4. For adj ending in –y, change –y to –i then add –st. Eg: tidy => tidiest

1.2. Long adjectives
