Devices that incorporate technology and education by Mind Map: Devices that incorporate technology and education

1. Input Devices

2. Most familiar and commonly used input devices are the keyboard and the mouse. Both devices are easy to use Although, these are great devices, they may not always be applicable for children with special needs.

3. These include any device that is used to input data into the computer.

4. Touch screens, joysticks, microphones, electronic tablets and electric boards are a few additional input devices. These devices are great for everyone, but in particular, students that may have physical impairments/special needs limiting their ability to use only a keyboard and or mouse.

5. Using these devices will make learning and participation easier and more comfortable. We must also incorporate these devices cost effectively and without students feeling they are on display or out of place.

6. Speakers, headphones and compact discs are additional forms of output devices. Again, these devices are extremely beneficial to learning, but more importantly, providing students with different challenges, the opportunity to connect with their class. A student may have to listen or take notes via a disc in order to keep afloat with the class and this provides them that option.

7. Output devices that most of us are experienced with are monitors, printers, copiers and fax machines, to name a few.

8. Output Devices

9. These include any device that is used to put out processed information from the computer.

10. These devices will continue to assist students, which will only increase learning. But again, we have to make sure there is money to provide students with the essential tools they need for learning. While also assuring them everyone is there to learn, even though it may be in different ways, no one has the right to judge you because you learn in a different way.
