1. What does Scout look like?

1.1. Dirty

1.1.1. ""I lay on the cement and shook my head still"

1.1.1.1. Although she did not mean to end up on the ground this is still part of Scout's nature. She is adventurous and doesn't mind getting dirty

1.2. Overalls

1.2.1. "I still don't see why I have to wear a darn old dress.

1.2.1.1. Scout loves wearing her usual Overalls so she can run around with Jem and Scout.

1.3. Formal clothing for school

1.3.1. "I still don't see why I have to wear a darn old dress."

1.3.1.1. Scout isn't used to wearing a dress as she usually wears overall's. It is a thing she strongly dislikes.

2. How do others see Scout Finch?

2.1. Tomboy

2.1.1. “Aunt alexander’s vision of my deportment involves playing with small stoves tea sets and wearing the add pearl necklace she gave me when I was born further more I should be a ray of sunshine of my lonely life. (Page 90)

2.1.1.1. Aunt Alexandra sees her as a disgrace to women because she is a tomboy

2.2. To Smart

2.2.1. "'Your father does not know how to teach. You can have a seat now. I mumbled that I was sorry and retired meditating upon my crime." Page 17 chapter 2

2.2.1.1. The Teacher sees Scout as very advanced for her age, as she can already read. She doesn't value Scout's gift for reading.

2.3. Loveable

2.3.1. “Summer was the swiftness with which fill would reach up and kiss me when Jem was not looking, the longings we sometimes felt each other feel” (Chapter 12) "He evidently remembered he was engaged tome, for he ran back out and kissed me in front of Jem” (Chapter 6)

3. How does Scout feel?

3.1. Shocked

3.1.1. "My stomach turned to water and I nearly threw up" (Page 78)

3.1.1.1. She feels shocked when she finds out Boo Radley put the blanket over her during Miss Maudie's house fine.

3.2. Angry

3.2.1. "Francis called Atticus somethin', an' i wasn't about to take it off him" "What did Francis call him?" "Anigger lover, i aint sure what it means, but the way he said it - tell you one things right now, Uncle Jack, ill be- i swear before God if ill sit there and let him say something' bout Atticus" (Page 93)

3.2.1.1. Scout gets very angry/frustrated when she hears people calling Atticus a "Nigger Lover"

3.3. Upset

3.3.1. 1. "I told Atticus I didn't feel well and didn't think i'd go to school anymore if it was alright with him" 2. "Please dont send me back, please sir" (Page 31)

3.3.1.1. Miss Caroline has told Scout off because Atticus taught her how to read before she started school and Miss Caroline wasn't very happy. Scout is very upset because she wants to continue reading but she isn't allowed. She doesn't want to go to school anymore.

4. How does scout act?

4.1. Smart

4.1.1. "Anything Atticus happened to be reading when i crawled into his lap every night. Until i feared i would lose it, i never loved to read. One does not love breathing" Page 20

4.1.1.1. Scout taught herself to read. Many people couldn't read anywhere near as well as she could, and even so she was never taught by anyone.

4.2. Tom Boy

4.2.1. "Catching Walter Cunningham in the school yard gave me some pleasure, but when I was rubbing his nose in the dirt Jem came over and told me to stop" page 25

4.2.1.1. She wrestles around and acts like a hyperactive boy. She doesn't mind getting a bit of dirt on her face or and ignores the fact that people think she should be acting more properly.

4.3. Eager

4.3.1. "Well are we gonna play anything or not" said Jem. "Let's roll the tyre I suggested" Jem Sighed "you know i'm to big" I ran to the back of the yard and pulled out an old car tyre" Page 45

4.3.1.1. Scout if often eager to do anything. She knows what she wants and is always enthusiastic about doing so. She often persuades people to what she wants to do.
