3.1. Figure out things about the earth such as climate, natural disasters, culture, plate tectonics, and different types of regions.
4. World in Spatial Terms
4.1. Absolute
4.1.1. Exact point on earth
4.2. Relative
4.2.1. Uses a reference point to identify one place in relation to another
5. Places and Regions
5.1. Formal Region
5.1.1. Characteristics of this region are the same throughout the space (common physical or cultural characteristics)
5.2. Functional Region
5.2.1. Incorporates a central hub (node) and a surrounding area that is connected to the central hub. (highways connect suburbs to downtown)
5.3. Perceptual Region
5.3.1. Defined by people's attitude or feeling about an area (peoples opinions/stereotypes)
