4.4. The First and Second Crusades

4.4.1. Most of the Crusaders were French, but Bohemians, Germans, Englishmen, Scots, Italians, and Spaniards came as well.

4.4.2. THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 8 CRUSADES FROM 1095 UNTIL 1291

7.4. Henry tried to solve this by asking the Pope for his forgiveness

8. 1190 German Empire stays separate

8.1. Conflict with Italian Cities and the pope continued

8.1.1. These conflicts were one reason why the feudal states of Germany did not unify during the Middle Ages.

9.1. The crusades show the power Chucrh had in medieval period

9.2. TRADE EXPANDED BETWEEN EUROPE AND SOUTH WEST ASIA

9.3. Crusades weakened feudal nobility .increased the power of kings.
