Ways in which rituals are challenged

1. Rituals may be challenged because of its complexity peopel may misunderstand its meaning or simple might not understand it therefore see no significance in their lives

2. Peopel may find religious rituals as unccesary ,irrelevant or incovenint as they are time consuming

3. The aspect of ritual is one that is vulnerable to be challenged as it is one that is easily misunderstood by non adherents and thsi open to misinterpretation.it may be deemed as innapripriate or criminal by the society

4. Because the ritual required participation some peopel may feel excluded or feel unworthy of participation this ritual may be challenged for other peopel participating in the ritual
