Validity and Reliability by Mind Map: Validity and Reliability

1. Alternate Forms or Equivalence: There are two sets of forms of a test. Both forms are administered to a group of students and the correlation between the two sets of scores is determined.

2. Test-Retest or Stability: a test is given twice and the correlation between the first set of scores and the second set of scores is determined.

3. Kuder-Richardson method: measure the extent to which items within one form of the test have as much in common with one another as do the items in that one form with corresponding items in an equivalent form.

4. Criterion-Related Validity: scores from a test are correlated with and external criterion.

4.1. Concurrent: deals with measures that can be administered at the same time as the meaure to be validated.

5. Content Validity: inspect test questions to see whether they correspond to what the user decides should be covered by the test.

5.1. Predictive: refers to how well the test predicts some future behavior of the examinees.

6. Construct Validity: it's relationship to other information corresponds well with some theory.

7. Internal Consistency: Items should be correlated with eachother and internally consistant.
