2.4.2.1. if the clot is found in a large artery in the brain a catheter is inserted in to the artery that is found in the groin then a device is passed though the catheter to the artery in the brain and the clot can be removed with this devise or suction

3. SYMPTOMS

3.1. facial drop to one or both sides of the face depending were the stroke has occurred

3.2. weakness and numbness in the arms and legs

3.3. slurred, garbled speech or no speaking at all

3.4. nausea and vomiting

4. HOW TO IDENTIFY

4.1. BLOOD TEST

4.1.1. checking your cloistral and blood sugar level

4.2. CT SCAN

4.2.1. to discover, determan if there has been a stroke and if the stroke has been caused be a blockage or a bleed

4.3. MRI SCAN

4.3.1. to be used if the area of the stroke is difficult to identify or the patient has complex symptoms as the ct scan will give a detailed image of the body

5. RECOVERY

5.1. (SALT) speech and language therapy

5.2. (OT) occupational therapist to provide equipment to aid recovery

5.3. (PHYSIOTHERAPIST) to help to regain moment that has been lost

5.4. IST intensive support team to support recovery at home
