A tree based expanding menu \nblock with option to include links to \nthe Gradebook, Calendar, Blog \nMenu and Messages blocks.

The block includes a Control Panel \nto administer the course. The \nappearance of the tree can be \ncontroled with

the \"Expandable Tree\" and \n\"Activate Chapter Grouping\" \ncontrols.

We added some new functionality \nto this block making it possible to \norder and turn on/off certain option \nsuch as:

The settings are done on a per \ncourse basis. The block is freely \navailable under the GPL 3.

Chapter grouping

\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\"Activate Chapter Grouping\" \nmakes it possible to group \nweeks/topics in chapters. When \ngrouping the weeks/topics

\n\n\n\n

the default distribution is done \nuniformly among the chapters. The \nfinal distribution is done manually

\n\n\n\n

by clicking on the arrows and \nmoving the weeks/topics among \nthe chapters. The name of the \nchapters can be set independently.

You should remember a couple of \nimportant things:

\n\n\n\n

-By changing the number of \nchapters all your chaptering \nsettings will be restored to default.

\n\n\n\n

-The number of chapters must be a \nnumber greater than 1 and less \nthen the number of visible \nweeks/topics.

Note that this block takes over the \ndevelopment of the Course Menu \nblock from Humboldt State \nUniversity for Moodle 1.5 which is \nno longer supported. You can \ndownload that old version here.
