To be clear, though it is a promotional tool, the Education / Community portion of MCP is a far-sighted look at growing an audience for an artists\' discipline.

It allows an artists to more informally talk about their work, grow a stronger, informed base of people and creates an equilibrium within a community.

\n

\n

With the exclusive costs of the main event (as it stands), the Education/ Community portion, which is NOT designed to be FREE publicity, allows the art and artists to share their work with people with lower incomes.

\n

\n

Schools, Community Centers, Retirement Centers are part of the scope of the work.

\n

\n

To be honest, this really is kind of the most important section of the Installation. The MCP Install shows what can be done with a collaboration of discliplines and how it creates a certain oppulence and rich tapestry. It is not inexpensive to do THAT, but reaching into the Community should be inexpensive as shareable.

What community outreach should be is providing the distilled artforms of Classical Music, Cuisine and Visual Art.

\n

\n

\n

The performance of the musical work, for example, with the simple accompaniment with which it has been performed. Piano, Guitar what have you.
The cooking of a meal, preparation, recipies and how to compose with food using basic ingredients, simple cutlery and tools, a prep table and a stove... even one burner. Something that shows that great cooking can be done simply.
The making of an art piece. It can be through using media, or making work using found objects or any number of things. *interesting would be a field trip to FIND objects then create something with them

Art certainly CAN be elitist and made for rich people. But it is not exclusive of that selection of people. Art is found everywhere as the reflection of humanity.

\n

\n

The glitz and glamour of the Multi-Course Performance Installation is made by attaching simple discliplines to one another in a post-modern collaboration.

\n

\n

It is incumbent that people realize that though this work is done by celebrated professionals, these professionals are at their heart creating things from their minds, which is free to use.

\n

\n

In some cases, the installation will be more or less funded at some points in the production. This is not desired, but it is a reality we face.

\n

\n

\n

While certainly art is meant for the people, these community experiences may be the only way an artist will make the ends meet during the installation (rent, mortgage etc.) . We aren\'t looking to overcharge, but a nominal positively negotiated fee should be paid, or a free-will donation should always take place for the work of the artist.

\n

\n

This benefits everyone. The artists get to revolve their ideas and practice their craft in light of the upcoming performance, honing and focusing. The audience gets to talk to the artists, see the detail work of how art is put together.
