1. Copyright

1.1. It is a intellectual property that protects original and creative works.

1.1.1. To have something fall under copyright protection it must must have one of the three requirements

1.1.1.1. Is independently created

1.1.1.2. Is at least minimally creative

1.1.1.3. Is fixed in a tangible medium

1.1.2. Copyright only protects so much

1.1.2.1. It protects: movies, songs, sound recordings, books, sculptures, software

1.1.2.2. It doesn't protect: ideas, procedures, facts/data, methods, concepts, designs, etc.

1.1.3. There are exceptions and limitations

1.1.3.1. Fair use

1.1.3.1.1. Can borrow a small amount of copyright to teach, report news, parody, or for critic comment

1.1.3.2. The first sale doctrine

1.1.3.2.1. The copyright owner is able to control the resale of their work.

2. Foundations

2.1. There are three main and most popular learning theories

2.1.1. Behaviorism

2.1.1.1. This way of learning the students are interacting with the environment surrounding them.

2.1.1.1.1. In this learning theory, conditioning is a big factor in the students learning. Another factor that is big in the students learning is repetition.

2.1.2. Cognitivism

2.1.2.1. This is way the students are learning and being taught to do something and building on knowledge off of prior knowledge.

2.1.2.1.1. The students' minds are the information processor. Their minds are processing and emphasizing the information as a whole rather than bits and pieces.

2.1.3. Constructivism

2.1.3.1. This is a very hands-on learning experience. The students build their knowledge through interactions and experience.

2.1.3.1.1. Self- directed learning is a big part of this learning theory. Self- directed learning is when the teacher is encouraging the students to discover and learn on their own.
