1. MSU's Program of Theatre Arts will perform "Tartuffe" by Moliere, adapted by Constance Congdon and Virginia Scott, Tuesday (Oct. 23) through Oct. 27. The play, directed by Associate Communication Arts Professor Kevin Neuharth, begins at 7:30 p.m. in Aleshire Theater.

1.1. The Rural Crime and Justice Center at MSU hosted a media conference Wednesday (Oct. 17).where participants unveiled a $300,000 Department of Justice grant aimed at reducing domestic and dating violence, sexual assault and stalking on campus.

2. Dr. John Girard, professor of management at Minot State University's College of Business, will present "MSU @ Sea" on the Northwest Art Center Lecture Series Monday, October 29, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the Aleshire Theater, MSU.

3. Minot State University official fall 2012 enrollment numbers show a 2.7 percent decrease compared to official numbers last year of 3,657. The number reported to the North Dakota University system is 3,560.

4. Minot State University's annual live signature arts festival, NOTSTOCK, continues to color outside the lines of convention. Scheduled Oct. 4-6 on MSU campus, MSU NOTSTOCK 2012 celebrates poster art, poetry, music, ceramics, theatre, and politics and features two special art exhibits.

5. Minot State University is honoring two inductees, Robert Holmen, mathematics, and Joseph Alme, music, into its Academic Hall of Fame.

6. Grow North Dakota, an MSU endeavor to recruit out-of-state and international students by charging a flat tuition rate, fostered growth in student populations from exterior states such as Arizona, California, Florida and Michigan. Increases were also seen in transfer and international students.
