3. Touch Screens

4. Digital Carmers

5. Data projectors

6. Headphoens/Speakers

7. Input devices allow information to be transfered into the computer.

8. Touch screen monitors allow students to interact with educational programs. These devices are good options for learners with special needs.

9. While touch-screen devices can be useful they can be expensive to purchase as well as maintain. In addition, touch-screen applications can delay certain developmental skills that traditional keyboards and mouse functions offer.

10. Digital cameras allow learners to view photographs and short video clips on larger monitors and screens making sharing images more accommodating. Pictures of specific objects allow students with special needs to identify and connect ideas and concepts.

11. Some challenges with using a digital camera in the classroom may be the initial expense and maintaining the device as well as the neccessary software.

12. Output devices transfer information out of the computer

13. Data projectors allow the information on a computer screen to be seen on a larger surface. Depending on the resolution of the unit, images will have varying clarity and quality traits. These devices can be used to share information for a lesson with the entire class. Projectors can also enhance the learning experience and bring excitment to a lesson.

14. Data Projectors have challenges as well as benefits. For example, if a lower grade unit is used, the resolution may be too low for effective use. Also, teachers must have a screen for the projector image to be seen clearly.

15. Headphones adn speakers allow the computer user to hear the audio portion of a computer program. This is an essential componant because most programs have an audio portion. In addition, students can use headphones to participate withthe computer activity without disturbing others.

16. Some potential challenges to using speakers adn headphones include the distraction audio may cause and the need for additional equipment and software.
