According to the American Sleep Association, jet lag is a \nphysiological condition caused by disturbance to the body’s natural \ncircadian rhythm, or internal clock. This condition is largely caused by\n air travel across one or more time zones, but it can also be caused by \nshift work or other factors. Jet lag or \"travel fatigue\" can affect \npeople of all age groups and both sexes. Some studies indicate younger \npeople can more easily handle the changes in circadian rhythm, while \nother studies show the complete opposite.
