2.1.1.1. The cell of meristematic tissue have ability of cell division known as "cell division ability"
2.1.1.2. It help in growth of new cell at different region in plant cell
2.1.1.3. Growth of plant occur only in certain region
2.1.2. Types of meristematic tissue on the basis of their presence on different part
2.1.2.1. Apical meristematic tissue
2.1.2.1.1. Present at growing tips of stem and root and help in increase its length
2.1.2.2. Lateral meristematic tissue
2.1.2.2.1. Girth (breath) stem and root increase due to latent meristematic tissue

2.2.1.1. When meristematic tissue lose the ability to divide and obtain a permanent shape size and function then it is called permanent tissue
